Wat te doen dit weekend
Yes, it is five o'clock, the cork can come off the bottle! Perhaps it is already off the bottle, are you hanging in the lights or are you just under the covers because you are not handling this autumn as well as you thought. Whatever you are doing, the next two days are yours. No idea what to do? Don't worry. I have sifted through the weekend agendas again and lined up the best outings, activities, parties, and events for you.
Trick or treat
Finally, you have the opportunity to scare your friends with something other than the price of that Gucci sweater you want so badly. It is Halloween again. This holiday has become increasingly popular in recent years, and I quickly ran out of the party store yesterday when I saw how busy it was. What exactly I will go as, I don't know yet (probably drunk), but we can exchange dance techniques tomorrow night in Elementenstraat in Amsterdam. Here they are organizing Fat Kids Cake their annual Halloween party again, and those are always legendary. This year it is A Mokum Halloween Story and they promise you that you will have nightmares from it. I am curious. I will see you there. Or maybe not, muahaha.
Museum Night The Hague
Are you a bit too old for all that Halloween fun, or too scared... Or do you just feel like something different, then you should definitely go to The Hague this weekend. Because on Saturday night there is Museum Night. In total, between 8:00 PM and 1:00 AM, forty different cultural places will open their doors and there is something for everyone. Not just looking at art, but art mixed with music or dance. In the Mauritshuis, for example, you can look at ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’ in a whole new way.
For the real breakfast lover
Endlessly having breakfast outside, you could call that my hobby. Years ago I gave up collecting stamps because I realized my talent lay elsewhere. For example, in devouring food made by others. Since this week, Ree7, one of the coziest spots in the 9 Streets, has a new menu that makes me very happy as a breakfast enthusiast. Think of delicious green bowls and fresh juices, as well as American pancakes. You will go back for the French toast! Believe me.
Dutch Design Week
In Eindhoven, the Dutch Design Week is underway again, or as Rens would say: nice goingzzz. You can still go there this weekend for one of the 2500 designers at one of the 100 locations spread throughout the city. You can not only visit exhibitions, but there are also various award ceremonies and debates organized. Check the program for a moment, because I am sure there is something in it that you will like.
Happy Halloween for now and see you next week! Cheerio!
