Tips for home when it rains
I like autumn. The smell is so nice, the leaves are at their best, you can still sit outside nicely when the sun is shining and I can wear my in-between jacket. But yes, what if it rains really hard. Then there is really nothing fun about autumn. Okay, okay, if you're on your bike on the way home and you get soaked, it doesn't matter that much (bring on that terry cloth onesie) and going for a run in the rain is also nice sometimes (read more here why that is good for you), but in general, rain is just super stupid. So there's nothing else to do but make it a little fun for yourself. You can think of this:
1. Put on loud music and start cleaning up. Kitchen cabinets, clothes, drawers, clutter corners, clutter boxes; something. Start decluttering.
2. Browse through your favorite cookbook and stick post-its on the dishes you really want to cook someday. Make a big shopping list and start right away that afternoon or evening in the kitchen. Okay, maybe step outside (with an umbrella!) to go to the supermarket.
3. Baking. Go bake!
4. Write nice cards to friends or family and mail them the next day. Small effort, super big effect.
5. Do a little surfing on the net for beautiful holiday destinations. You don't have to book anything, but fantasizing is always possible.
6. The same goes for Funda. Set the search option to ‘from €1,000,000’ and go wild.
7. Turn your home into a home cinema. Plus popcorn.
8. Well, you can also take care of the administration. You miss nothing outside anyway.
9. And lastly (at your own risk!): go enjoy online shopping.
