WHO IS THE MOLE? KEEPS KIEK
IN THE BAN
So I always get it wrong. I always get it damn wrong who The Mole is. And that frustrates me enormously. You should always trust your gut feeling, right? Why does mine keep letting me down?
Last Saturday I almost devoured my TV again. For those who haven't seen the episode yet: huge spoiler alert, click away very quickly while you still can or else you're going to hate me.
Then a little about the ether discipline El, what a fantastic story. I still don't know exactly what it is, but I LAUGHED SO HARD at you.
For everyone else: my great police friend Ellie Lust went home and I was bummed out. First of all because Ellie has won the hearts in our country with her wonderfully characteristic Amsterdam accent. No one articulates as clearly as Ellie. Then a little about the ether discipline El, what a fantastic story. I still don't know exactly what it is, but I LAUGHED SO HARD at you. Or as fellow candidate Tim Hofman says: ‘Ellie has a gift: she can turn off all the expressions on her face.’ In short: our friend will be missed.
Additionally, for me as a WIDM addict, it is also confusing that Ellie had to pack her bags. Because I seriously had Rob on my mole radar, just like Ellie – and she could damn well pack her things. I've been restless for four days because of her departure. Am I having tunnel vision again? I dove into the depths of the internet and ended up at the annual social media analysis by Buzzcapture. Last year, the eliminated WIDM participants could be tracked via Twitter and Instagram, and even in Expeditie Robinson, the participants went wrong later in the year. Have the participants learned their lesson this year?
A number of speculations in a row:
1. That Airen would be eliminated early was already predicted. On Twitter, it was visible that she was in Argentina during the recording period. Not so smart.
2. Ellie's departure also didn't come as a complete surprise to the real detective. On June 23, the police spokesperson was already seen in the program Opsporing Verzocht (which is not possible El, you were still in the recording period then).
3. Marjolein also seems to be eliminated. Analysts think her Twitter behavior (and especially the timing of tweeting) indicates that she was back in the Netherlands early. Because who tweets at 5 AM local time? Unless you're back in the Netherlands, of course, where it is already a few hours later.
4. Taeke was also in the Netherlands earlier than most other participants, as can be read in a report from a charity he was involved with.
5. Also a notable person: fashion queen Cécile Narinx. She appears to be much more active on social media halfway through the recording period and proactively responding to messages.
6. There is no trace of Annemieke, although it is notable that three others do not follow her on Twitter. This has been a signal in previous years that she (probably) will not be among the finalists.
7. Rob has no social media and was not in the news. Also, not much happened around Klaas and Tim during the recording period. Are we dealing with the three finalists here?
In short: take advantage of it. But honestly: guarantee only to the front door. Maybe nothing is what it seems? Good luck, little moles.
