Why I am jealous of people with a crafting hobby

This doesn't have to be such a long piece. I'm just jealous of people with hobbies. Or rather: people with crafting hobbies. Personally, I have to make do with eating, drinking, and shopping as hobbies. And sometimes I just wish I had a simple, sweet hobby like crafting! Then I wouldn't be so fat/drunk/broke all the time. Here are the advantages in a row.

1. Crafting relaxes.

At least if you do it well. Otherwise, it's of course hell on earth. But I'm just sure you can do it. Everyone is always better at things than I am. So you are too.

2. Crafting gives a purpose.

So I have an acquaintance who is really good at crafting, it's not normal. He makes the most beautiful things and always has a crafting project going on. The best man even has his own crafting space, where he collects all his materials: a real paradise with strange finds and knick-knacks. And it's so fun to see. I'm telling you: he has a very busy job and is the father of two children, but while other men cheat, he just goes crafting. Which sounds very quaint, but you should see what he puts together, it's amazing. My friend doesn't craft.

3. Crafting can actually earn you something if you do it well.

You can easily sell all your creations via Etsy or Marktplaats, and crafting stuff is super trendy to buy nowadays, because people really want an original interior with things that no one else has. So you can sell people just about anything, really, you can't imagine how crazy it gets, or you'll sell it to some type from Canada or Seoul. As long as it's glued together. Or as long as there's a string tied around it. Seriously: you're actually just leaving money on the table if you don't craft.

4. You can effortlessly demand attention in conversations.

You just have to say that you like crafting and people are all ears, I swear to you. Admittedly, some people will be all ears mainly because they want to laugh, but who cares, those people have no humor.

5. Crafting is trendy.

I already mentioned it a bit, so this is just for clarity. Even a blind person can see that crafting is trendy, just look at how popular Etsy and Pinterest are. And you now also have all those decorated jeans and denim jackets nowadays. Very crafty too.

6. You can distinguish yourself interior-wise from the masses.

I just wrote it, but everyone will be amazed by a crafted lamp, a self-assembled item for the wall, or a plant hanger you crocheted. They'll be blown away! And all thanks to your crafting!
