WHY I LOVE BANANAS

This morning there was a dark brown banana in my fruit bowl. So brown that you couldn't really peel it easily anymore and take bites from it. You might throw that banana in the trash. DON'T DO THAT! Take a nice bowl, put a big scoop of Greek yogurt in it and mix in the soft, super sweet, delicious banana. Top it off with some chopped walnuts and you really have a delicious (healthy!) breakfast. Sometimes I intentionally let bananas turn brown, then I put them in the freezer to make ice cream the next day. Just blend it with some quark. It's that simple. The browner the banana, the sweeter. You don't need any sugar anymore. More reasons why I'm pro-banana?

– There are a lot of fibers in bananas and that is very pleasant for digestion.

– Bananas help against a hangover because the magnesium in them relaxes the blood vessels and can relieve headaches. Hey, that's handy.

– Put a banana next to another piece of fruit and that fruit will ripen within two days. Also handy if you're craving sweet banana ice cream.

– There is a happiness substance in bananas that contains tryptophan. That gives you a happy and content feeling.
