waarom je vaker weekenduitstapjes zou moeten plannen
A few weeks back I went to Paris for four days for Amayzine. I got home on Thursday evening and jetted off to Venice the following Friday morning. Although Venice wasn’t business, it was purely pleasure.
There on a Friday morning, back on a Sunday evening. Seeing as I work as a freelancer, I don’t have a set amount of vacation days. But even if you only have 25 vacation days a year, it shouldn’t be a problem to take off that extra Friday off very now and then. Trust me, it’s a really great idea. And here’s why:
#1
When you’re traveling towards the southern hemisphere, it’s almost always a couple degrees warmer and that’s always a bonus. Find yourself a nice little spot in the sun blocking out the wind, order a glass of wine and you’re good to go.
#2
If you’re traveling to a nice spot in Italy such as Venice or Rome, you can spoil yourself with pasta and pizza for three days straight. And isn’t that reason enough to get on a plane and go? Or you can head on over to the country filled with quite frankly the best bread and cheese you can think of; not to shabby either, right?
#3
I know what you might be thinking: “Hold on a second, how the heck am I supposed to afford all of this?” But take it from me, this doesn’t have to cost you all that much. Book a flight on a budget airline and you’ll find yourself in a beautiful foreign city for a reasonable price.
#4
There’s no better place to let go of all the chaos in your everyday life than in an unfamiliar surrounding like an entirely new city. I can assure you this, you’ll go home feeling reborn.
#5
Struggling finding a suitable time to meet up with your besties? Or perhaps you’re in the mood for a romantic getaway with you boy? Be spontaneous for a change and go on a little city break instead of meeting up at the same old cafés and restaurants.
