15 LIVING ROOMS ON PINTEREST THAT RENSKE WANTS TO HAVE

difficult, difficult

Followers! I am currently working on the muy importante furnishing of a (read: my) new build house in the Amsterdam Houthavens. And it is hell, dear people, hell. Why? Because I naturally can't choose again. There are a thousand delish things that I find cool – but unfortunately, unfortunately: it all just doesn't fit in Bassie's new palace.
Anyway: here is a selection of the living rooms that I want, plus of course the Big Why. I say: let yourself be inspired. But not too much, because I was here first.

On the left, we see the Californian-cool living room of Courteney Cox that I naturally want to have. Especially because of the amazing palladiana floor, but actually also because of the vintage yellow dining chairs. I have never seen such cool specimens before. Now, the happy fact is that Cox recently offered her entire interior for sale, so I was of course in a state, but unfortunately everything was sold out in no time. And that is of course because everyone is against me.

Let's move on to the middle photo. That's right, you also see a palladiana floor there, so it should be clear by now that I am indeed obsessed with this type of flooring. However, after extensive research and a thousand phone calls, I suspect that the palladiana shizzle is quite difficult to realize in a new build house. Especially if you have underfloor heating. I say: if a super special extremely intelligent flooring specialist reads this and thinks: man man man, I can make this slick floor for Renske, then please email me at renske@amayzine.com. I need you in my life.

Well, then I want to talk about the terrazzo floor on the right. Did you know that terrazzo will become the new marble in a year or so? I am heavily obsessed and considering a terrazzo floor like this, combined with lots of fuzzy rugs, wood, and (brushed) brass. HOWEVER, it seems we are going to have the same problem with this floor as with the palladiana floor: when you have underfloor heating, the floor can start to crack. Only when you choose tiles is that problem not there, but I have told all the people a thousand times: I. do. not. want. tiles.
EMAIL ME IF YOU CAN STILL FIX THIS SPECKLE FLOOR FOR ME.

I will now stop with the capitals, I was a bit confused. Here on the left is another living room that I am obsessed with. Hail to the beautiful dusty colors, the weathered look, the lovely wooden side table, the wooden floor, and the lamp from Workstead (which you could admire live at Enter The Loft). In the middle floor, my obsession is mainly based on the stunning wooden floor, because what do our eyes see on the floor? Exactly: nautical stars. I literally die. And on the right, we see of course another palladiana floor, because you are either a fan or not, but now situated in an extremely cool seventies bungalow. I want it! It's a pity that I don't have a seventies bungalow, because that's where it secretly looks best.

Here we have yet another fantastic terrazzo floor, but then in combination with dusty walls and a cool vintage wooden sideboard. Also, pay attention to the wooden 60’s accessories and the choice of a plexiglass table. The photo in the middle looks similar to the left interior, but then a combination with concrete has been chosen. Love it. On the right, the kitchens of kitchens shine: a super colorful palladiana floor somewhere in Rome, consisting of all pieces of marble. Oh dear, how much I want this floor. It's really a shame that I don't live in Rome, because there the houses often have these flashy floors.
What is it with that? I just don't live in the right place for the right floor.

Here we have the fantastic star floor again, but then tougher, darker, and still super classy. I just want to have everything. Everything! Even the brass drink trolley, and that while ten thousand people nowadays have/want a brass drink trolley. But hey, who cares. You need to have a bit of a chic place for the whiskey, right? In the middle once again the star floor in the lead role: anyone who doesn't want this floor is crazy. Or am I crazy? Nah, not really. On the right, a beauty of a speckled floor, but now with a hysterically cool Escher-like carpet (for CC-Tapis) from the interior hero of the moment: Patricia Urquiola. Fjietfjoe, I really need to arrange that rug.

The interior on the left is one of the most beloved interiors on Pinterest, and hallelujah – I would indeed want to transport the whole thing to my future living room with one click. It can't get more eclectic and cooler as far as I'm concerned. In the middle, we see a raised block floor with a grand must-have vibe. Admittedly, the floor is located in a store interior in Zurich (from bag maker @Qwstionthenorm), but why shouldn't you be inspired by a store? Think big, people. You have to think big in life! Otherwise, you won't get anywhere, do you hear me? I can already see myself sitting on this podium.

And then finally, entirely in the spirit of great inspiration: the interior of a cool establishment in Miami: Cecconi’s. That mint green! The diagonal tile pattern! Those ingenious, extremely artsy vintage chairs! And even a TREE! Seriously, maybe I should get a tree? Like: I’m sooo beyond the houseplant, we’re just going to throw a tree into the living room. Beautiful man!

Well, that was it again. Like, share, and love me.
