8x how to get rid of that miserable lump on your tongue

You just enjoy your apple, suddenly feel a sharp pain in your cheek. You bite on an ugly white blister in your cheek. Yes, indeed, an ulcer. The bastards. Every time you wonder where they come from, but especially: how do you get rid of them? This damage to your mucous membrane mainly occurs in the cheek, gums, and tongue. How it exactly arises is still not entirely known and unfortunately, the underlying cause of ulcers is rarely found. But that it is painful, especially when eating for example kiwi and citrus fruits, we do know. The following factors may play a role in the development of ulcers.
– A reduced physical resistance.
– A deficiency of the mineral zinc. In times of stress, a deficiency of this mineral occurs.
– In some people, certain foods trigger ulcers. In particular nuts, chocolate, kiwis, strawberries, pineapple, tomatoes, green peppers, and certain herbs. Find out if you are sensitive to certain foods and avoid them from now on.
– A deficiency of certain vitamins in the development of ulcers. In particular, a deficiency of B vitamins can be a major culprit.
– People who are sensitive to gluten, such as those with celiac disease, are extra sensitive to ulcers.
– Poor oral hygiene leads to an increase in bacteria in plaque. This reduces the protection of the oral mucosa and thus wounds occur.
– Hormones play an important role in the development of ulcers. Especially non-organic meat and milk contain relatively high levels of hormones. If you suffer a lot from the ugly bumps, try to avoid these foods. Alcohol, caffeine, and refined sugars have a negative impact on your hormonal balance and thus on ulcers.
– Ulcers can be caused by artificial additives in your food. Foods that are packed with synthetic colorings, flavorings, and preservatives are best avoided as much as possible.

All nice and well, but I have one and that bitch gives me a pretty bad mood. I feel you, girlfriend. That's why I have listed a few home, garden, and kitchen tricks for you. They won't disappear immediately, but at least they will relieve the pain.
1. Brush your teeth after eating with a toothpaste that contains enzymes, such as Zendium.
2. Rinse your mouth a few times a day with strong chamomile tea, as it works disinfecting (and also works well against colds).
3. Rinse a few times a day with warm water and a teaspoon of salt.
4. Dab the ulcers with strong black tea. The tannin in the tea acts as a pain reliever and the tea neutralizes the acids that worsen the pain.
5. Do you often suffer and especially pain from an ulcer? Then ask at the pharmacy for lidocaine, this is a liquid to dab on to relieve the pain.
6. Use disinfecting mouth rinses. These reduce the bacteria in your mouth.
7. Dab the ulcers with a drop of Tea Tree Oil. You can get this among others at Holland & Barrett (formerly De Tuinen).
8. Apply a little cinnamon to your ulcers a few times a day. Cinnamon has disinfecting properties. Ah, so that's why I never have problems with those bastards.
