ALBUMS WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO

After Jet's departure from our editorial team, I appointed myself as the new DJ of Amayzine. So you often hear some nice old school R&B on Friday afternoons because I mean, no one has ever been unhappy from a bit of Toni Braxton around five o'clock in the afternoon, am I right? And is anyone suffering from an afternoon slump? No worries, I'll just play Ed Sheeran's ’Barcelona‘ for you. Or ’Bibia Be Ye Ye‘, which is a bit of a tongue twister at the beginning, but really, it instantly lifts your mood.

In terms of music, there’s a lot of fun stuff on the way. We can always trust good old Drake to delight us with something new again, there’s a comeback from someone we haven’t heard from in a while and there are a few artists here and there that you might not know. So let’s go: the tunes you can expect in the coming time.

Nelly Furtado – The Ride

My goodness, I almost forgot she existed. Let’s go back seventeen years in time when ‘I’m Like A Bird’ was played everywhere on the radio and then she also came out with some nice tracks together with Timbaland. Nelly, I’ve missed you, but from March 31 she’s completely back with her new album ‘The Ride’.

Drake – More Life

Look, Drake is going a bit in the Beyoncé direction. There’s no exact release date for his new album yet, but he’s giving enough hints that we can expect something new from him soon. Want to know what to expect from this man? Check out his SoundCloud, because he’s been giving us his A-game. Can’t wait.

”We can always trust good old Drake”

Spoon – Hot Thoughts

Were you also so obsessed with The O.C. back in the day and the amazing soundtrack that was made for it? When I was still in high school, I discovered so many cool artists thanks to this series. Like Spoon, and they just released a new album this week.

Chris Stapleton – TBA

Do you like country music a bit and men with beards? Then definitely check out the new album from Chris Stapleton when it becomes available on May 5. His very first album was already a hit and for that, he got to take home his first Grammy Award. He also wrote hits for the big names in his music genre like Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw.

Real Estate – In Mind

If your taste leans more towards the indie genre, then the new album from Real Estate is definitely worth getting. You’ll find tracks like ‘Darling’ and ‘Stained Glass’ on it; ideal music for a lovely road trip, but it’s also nice when you’re walking through the city with the spring sun on your face.

Alright, well those spring playlists can now be nicely filled, right? And if anyone wants to book me for a party/wedding/I don’t care, you know where to find me!
