THE SECRET OF THE
PERFECT EYELINER WING IN
3 SIMPLE STEPS
“Look, eyeliner on fleek! How do you do that?” I get that question quite often. It's nice, all that practice hasn't been in vain. Because you shouldn't think that I had that wing down right away. No way, that took a while.
For years I did my eyeliner in a certain way, until a makeup artist from Estée Lauder did my makeup completely differently, just to get me out of my comfort zone. Result? My look suddenly became a lot less sad, and a lot more open. So today it's time to reveal my eyeliner secret .
The more devices competing in the battle for Queen B tickets, the better your chances. Don't just grab your phone, but also your computer, tablet, laptop, everything you have at home. Also, open multiple browsers. Who knows, Google Chrome might be faster than Firefox or Safari.
I let my eyelid rest nicely. I see so many people pulling at it (or the facelift effect), but often when you let your eye relax, the line looks different anyway.
Whatever you do, if you press the F5 key (refresh), you'll get a nasty STD. Just remember that. So don't press it, or you'll end up at the back of the line again.
Start with the wing, the little wing, wave, line; whatever you want to call it. I stick with the wing. You pull the wing a bit more upwards than the line of your own eye (if you follow your own eye line, it often results in a rather sad look. So up with that thing!).
At exactly 10:00 AM, when ticket sales start, have all your screens open (no, not exaggerating; as I just said, already at 6:00 AM...). Sitting on the site before 10:00 AM is pointless. You may be on the site, but you're not in the queue for the tickets.
If you wing Once it's steady, you only then draw the line over your lash line. I do this from the inside of my eye, going towards the wing. And hey, Rome wasn't built in a day, and that killer eyeliner wasn't either. So practice, practice, practice!
Then just a little about my favorite eyeliners of the moment:
1. This friend from HEMA. It's a liquid pot with a thin brush and works like a CHARM. And it's also nice for the wallet.
2. The Long Lasting Eyeliner 931 Noir Petrole from Chanel. In pencil form, so also nice to use under your eye.
3. L’Oréal Paris Super Liner Perfect Slim. Feels nice in the hand and draws a steady black line that stays really black.
