Where my heart races at the sight of a beautiful designer bag, Jon feels the same when he sees the latest camera equipment. In LA, it has become a running gag to buy a new camera lens at Best Buy every week, only to conclude after a whole day of watching YouTube tutorials that this was not the perfect model and then return it. Hmmm, I never do that after buying a new designer bag (this doesn't happen on a weekly basis, mind you, maybe once a year with a bit of luck...), but that's beside the point. When I stumbled upon this beautiful camera strap from Van der Borne last week, I couldn't help but take it for my husband's camera. Luckily, it was a bullseye: no return trip this time!

As big as my wardrobe is, my makeup drawer is that small. Now I must say that I am quite content with the fact that I don't have an extreme addiction in this area, because then my husband would have no space left in the house. The only thing that can really make me happy from time to time are new lipsticks. There are always two in every bag, because you never know where you might end up at the end of the day... My latest acquisition is the Chubby Lip Crayon from Clinique, which feels like a lip balm and gives a beautiful subtle color. Oh dear, the lipstick section in that small drawer might just be bursting at the seams...

Honestly: I really can't complain about my pregnancy. I feel fit, bike through Amsterdam every day, and often we have an evening program that I participate in without hesitation. But since this week, there is a nagging pain in my back by the end of the afternoon, and a few hours later I can barely sit still in my chair from the pain. The only relief is hanging at the table (which draws quite a few staring looks) or lying flat on the couch. Sigh: there goes the evening program. Luckily, I received a lovely pregnancy massage voucher for The Rub via Femme, and oh man, that is my salvation! A massage table specially designed with a hole for the belly and breasts (read: lying on my belly for the first time in months, what a treat) and a firm massage – unlike many mommy massages that feel more like petting – that finally manages to release some knots in my back. Appointment two is already scheduled for next week.

“Guys, pay attention! This might just be the best-kept secret of Amsterdam, and if you have something to celebrate, this is the place to be: The White Room.”

Guys, pay attention! This might just be the best-kept secret of Amsterdam, and if you have something to celebrate, this is the place to be: The White Room. The restaurant is hidden in hotel Krasnapolsky in the heart of Amsterdam, and when you enter the cozy restaurant, you must first stare for a few minutes at the beautiful white room that dates back to 1885. And what you then get served on your plate deserves another Insta Stories post: small works of art that taste so good! I have subtly informed my husband that our first dinner after the little one arrives should (or rather, MUST) take place here: the birth of our first child seems like quite a good celebration, right?

Since I have made long journeys in America in my Timberlands without any foot pain, this brand has risen significantly on my favorite shoe list. Now, upon returning home, we had planned to take a long forest or beach walk at least once a week, but unfortunately, that good intention has still not materialized... So I will have to come up with another activity to pull my Timberlands out of the closet more often. And as if my prayers were answered, the solution came from a completely different angle: I received this fantastic jeans edition as a gift, and it fits perfectly under all my spring outfits. So let those hikes be: a trip to the Bijenkorf can easily be scheduled with this fashionable pair.
