Yes, I am back! Despite the fact that I am still wonderfully on that pink cloud, I just couldn't miss you any longer. And there are enough things happening to write about! For example, I had my first day at work yesterday and Otis played nicely at grandma's, because Jon and I had the press day for ‘Bella Donna's’, which will be released in theaters on September 14. In the film, we make the bucket list of our deceased best friend complete and yesterday we checked off some bucket list items from the press. The most fun was definitely that of RTL Boulevard. Let me put it this way: there were kilos of cake involved and we certainly didn't stay ‘clean’!

Now I'm getting quite used to makeup-free and going through life in a tracksuit, but at some point, you have to start participating in society again... I was forced by the difficult delivery to lie on the couch for the first few weeks, but the outside world is screaming for a glimpse of Otis! So, baby visits are slowly being planned outside the door and we have already made our first trip through Vondelpark. My makeup drawer had been unopened for so long that my mascara had completely dried out. A completely justified trip to the M.A.C store was therefore in order, with quite a few new acquisitions.

A major downside to sitting on the couch for weeks: that online shopping is more tempting than ever before... In the meantime, I have shopped half of my winter wardrobe online and I don't mind the cold weather that much: I can show off my new items! For example, I exchanged my flip-flops for these suede winter boots from Omoda and they won't be coming off in the coming months, they fit like slippers. It's a good thing they don't come in more colors, otherwise, I would have ordered them faster than light. In many ways, it's a big advantage that I'm going out more often again, because shopping in a store with a baby is quite a bigger challenge. As if that holds me back, I hear that little devil inside me screaming...

Yes, not only my own winter wardrobe has been shopped together. Welcome to the wonderful world of baby shopping! Man oh man, there are just ridiculously many beautiful sites for baby clothes. It's just that Otis is growing so fast and it's simply a shame to shop too much, otherwise PostNL would have driven into my street every day with an extra car for all the packages. Now I discovered the new webshop Comeback last week, where they sell the coolest high-end children's brands. I allowed myself to order one package and it has become this lovely llama pack.

I find it fantastic to see that more and more ‘fair fashion’ is appearing: brands that manufacture in a very responsible way and only use sustainable materials. So I was also looking for a fairtrade diaper bag and then I came across MYOMY. I started drooling at the sight of their amazing designs and their diaper bag also has a beautiful purpose: for every bag sold, a child in India who does not have a birth certificate receives a birth certificate and they get much more chance of a good life. Really amazing when ‘fashion’ and ‘fair’ come together so beautifully.
