For years I have been searching for the ultimate product to lengthen my eyelashes. Last year I discovered Revitalash, which I became hugely enthusiastic about: during my wedding, everyone thought I was wearing false eyelashes, they had become so long. The only downside: if you forget to apply it for a few days, you immediately lose those princess eyelashes. I saw more and more friends around me with eyelash extensions, so it was time to test this method myself. A week later, I was lying on the treatment couch at Mia Farrah, where she meticulously glued eyelash by eyelash onto my own lashes. A little nap later (read: lying still for two hours...) I looked in the mirror and had to get used to my ‘doll eyes’, but the next day I couldn't do without them anymore. Until I arrived at a set where the makeup artist added extra lashes (which, for the record, was TOTALLY unnecessary) and in the evening while cleaning, I also rubbed off my eyelash extensions. So unfortunately not a good option for my work... Therefore, my search continues. Anyone have tips?

‘The courier will deliver a package around 2 PM.’ My heart immediately pounds in my throat. Normally, I am already quite excited when packages are delivered, but this was just a bit more special than all the others. Okay, a lot more special. Because to my great surprise, I got to test the new Twilly d’Hermès perfume. The courier rings the bell and nervously I accept the package. As I tear it open, the iconic orange box becomes increasingly visible and upon opening, I let out a squeal of happiness: the new perfume bottle comes with a beautiful Hermès ribbon that you can use as a bracelet, hair ribbon, shoelace, and so on. But in my box, there isn't just one ribbon, but countless little ribbons! My creativity goes wild and I start braiding like a madwoman to give everything in the house a touch of Hermès. Here is the result. By the way: the perfume also smells delicious.

I dare to firmly claim that every Dutch family has something from Nijntje at home. The first package my mother bought for Otis was with this iconic character on it. Last week, Otis and I had our first photoshoot together and the choice for his outfit was quickly made. While mom was in makeup for an hour, Mr. was just sweetly cooing in the crib, then posing like a trained model for the photo. Normally, I always carefully look at the result to see if I'm making a funny face or if I see something weird, but I immediately approved this photo upon seeing that radiant little face without even glancing at myself for a second. Wonderful, having such a little one who will always be number 1 from now on.

Every year around September, Marly and I get slightly panicked: who are we going to dress up as for Halloween this year? This year we moved the party forward so that Marly can be there before the little one is born. By now we have quite a tracklist: Smurfette, Viktor & Rolf, Karl Lagerfeld, sumo ballerinas, Cruella de Vil (with baby Sammy as a Dalmatian)... And this year we also have to deal with a ‘big belly’. But suddenly I had it: that delightful heavily pregnant chick from New Kids! We've never had a costume that felt so good. Otis was on team Jon this year and stole the show as mustard, with Jon as ketchup and my sister as a hotdog. I'm already going to think about our costume for next year when Otis is on our team.

After two weeks of exercising, I immediately feel a lot fitter. Those extra bits of fat will probably stay until after breastfeeding, but my energy level has really shot up. I always love variety to prevent a class from getting boring. So besides the spinning class, I started with High 45: a workout where you perform exercises for 45 seconds for 45 minutes. Piece of cake, I hear you think. Well, believe me, after those 45 minutes, you wish to avoid anyone with that red buoy for the next hour and a half. But that satisfied and energetic feeling afterward ensures that I come back every week. In mid-November, we're going to Curaçao with the family and I'm curious if I'll dare to pull that bikini out of the closet again... Still a lot of sessions to go!
