Cheating with the flight attendant

There are many different types on the plane. Just take a good look around you. You have the ‘I-have-a-important-meeting-after-this-flight-ladies’, the ‘leggings-are-pants-sometimes-girls’ and the ‘I-am-fabulous-and-this-flight-won't-stop-me-types’. I admit it honestly: when I have a long flight (let's be honest, that's one of 2+ hours), I'm already sitting in my seat with my trainers and leggings. With an eye mask, earplugs, and a pillow at the top of my bag for easy access. Yes, when it comes to a flight, comfort is everything.

But once you're comfortably seated, ready for take-off, you see them. Those incredibly beautiful ladies who get to call themselves flight attendants. Hair perfectly done, a soft peachy complexion, red lips, and heels. It's not fair. Because while the rest of us look pale after 5 hours with bags under our eyes and dry lips, they still look radiant. How.do.they.do.that? It's easier than you think. Read on quickly for the ultimate beauty secrets of the flight attendants.

1. Prepare a separate makeup bag

Do you travel a lot? Make sure you have a bag at home with all your travel makeup in it. This way, you don't have to think about where your makeup is for each flight and what you can and cannot take with you. It also reduces the chance of forgetting something important.

2. Skincare

My skin is rough, pale, and full of cracks, pimples, and dark lines under my eyes after a long flight. The cabin of the plane is dry, and that's why flight attendants swear by a hydrating moisturizer. A lip balm is handy to avoid cracked and dry lips. Drinking enough water also helps with this.

3. Hydrating sprays

Have you already drunk enough water and used moisturizer, but does your skin still feel dry? Then use a hydrating spray. You can apply it over your makeup and you'll feel fresher immediately.

“While we look pale after 5 hours with bags under our eyes and dry lips, they still look radiant.”

4. Sunscreen

Strange but true. The higher you are in the air, the more your skin is exposed to the sun. A good sunscreen is therefore very important.

5. No makeup for long flights

Do you ever sleep with your makeup still on? I hope not. Unless you've had a few too many drinks or an incredibly long workday, you have no excuse. So not on the plane either. If you want to look good when you land, take some makeup with you in your hand luggage. You can do a quick touch-up in the restroom next to the baggage claim after your flight.
