shaken, not stirred
I was about ten years old when I first started watching Bond films. Young, yes, and not necessarily very girly, but I was living in Copenhagen at the time and at one point always had ‘Bond day on Sunday’ with my father. I was obsessed with all the films. Not that I necessarily understood the storylines and I certainly didn't understand why Bond jumped into bed with a different woman every time, but I didn't care about that: I wanted to see all the films. And as soon as there was a new one, I would go straight to the cinema with my father.
Now, Sean Connery has always been my numero uno Bond, but Sir Roger Moore was always a close second. And that Roger Moore who was Bond for 5118 days and whom I was so fond of (especially in the fight scene with a man named Jaws in ’The Spy Who Killed Me’), has unfortunately passed away due to cancer.
No more shaken, not stirred Martinis for this Bond, but a lot of love from his fellow Bond colleagues:
”You were a fantastic James Bond; one who paved the way for me. The world will miss you and your unique sense of humor in the coming years.” – Pierce Brosnan
”I was saddened to hear that Roger had passed away. We had an extraordinarily long friendship in Hollywood terms, filled with many jokes and fun. I will miss him.” – Sean Connery
“Nobody does it better.” – Daniel Craig
