Cake time
It all started on May's birthday. A very delicious smelling package was delivered to the office in the afternoon. And no, those are not the packages adorned with the well-known Chanel– or Dior bow. That is the favorite scent of every nose in the editorial team. I'm talking about the warm apple pie from De Taarten Kamer. I've never eaten such delicious cake, really. And Theo hasn't either, by the way. Something about five pieces of cake in one afternoon.
Anyway, that apple pie that even Simone can't say no to, is a keeper as far as we're concerned. In fact, Elke and I are just continuing the De Taarten Kamer tradition. Because hey, you probably haven't missed it (or have you? In that case: shame on you…): on Monday, August 7th, I celebrated my 25th birthday and tomorrow is Elke's holiday. That needs to be celebrated, with the best scent of Amsterdam. It's cake time. And in the meantime, Elke and I are hoping for a sneaky leftover, because let's be honest; cake for breakfast is the absolute best, right?
