Peeking is allowed
For weeks, what am I saying, months I have struggled with the curtain issue. I had outgrown my little Ikea curtains a bit, but what was I to do? I have cycled to curtain shops with my tasteful neighbor Linda Ubachs four times, but I couldn't make a choice. One was too colorful, the other too dull, that one too light, and I found a lot of them too expensive or not worth the purchase.
Suddenly I thought of the good old blinds. They create atmosphere and immediately transport you to a summer place. But blinds are solid and you can't just remove them. So what? What I thought of Luxaflex? They come in beautiful wooden variants. From nice solid to really very wide, in all sorts of colors and trimmed with beautiful ribbon. You can lift them up when you want to clean your window (practical, practical) or when you want to wave to people. Furthermore, you can adjust them so that you either get a lot or less light inside, and it gives the same tropical atmosphere as the blinds. Every time I walk into my room, I get a happy feeling again. And also nice: curious little eyes can't peek inside uninvited. Unless I lift them up at parties and gatherings.
