There were May and I, in New York on the bike heading to the Soho House where I had arranged to meet a high school friend. May decided to ride along with me. I had decided that day to wear a dress as a sort of top, with it my favorite skirt. But it was hot that day, and when I arrived, I decided that skirt was not a good idea after all (and by the way, also way too short and inconvenient on the bike). May would take it back to the hotel for me. Then, half an hour later, I got a message from May: ‘Elke, I lost your skirt. I went back and forth a few times but it’s really lost.‘ What turned out: it had fallen out of her bike basket. I don’t understand why those New Yorkers have such inconvenient bike baskets.

 
But well, I’m not the hardest to please, it can happen. In New York you can also find & Other Stories stores. No problem, just grab a new one. But what turned out: sold out everywhere. Back in the Netherlands too.

 
Good news though: there is again a new star skirt in my life. Thanks to Instagram where I spotted it. Hi Sandro-baby, you and I are going to have so much fun together. And that time starts today, because we are going to dance together at Het Lente Kabinet. So excited.
