Danie Bles is the new owner of Amsterdam Fashion Week

Hot coffee, fresh off the press: this morning it was announced that Danie Bles will be waving the scepter at Amsterdam Fashion Week. Yep, the biannual fashion party will now be organized under her leadership. Of course, May and Daniëlle were front row for this news, because at this moment there is a real AmayzinexDanie Moscow Matryoshka trip going on. May will tell you much more about this later.

Anyway, back to Danie and her statement: “After 20 years of experience as a stylist, I am ready to embark on this new adventure. I can't wait to introduce the press, buyers, and consumers to the new Amsterdam Fashion Week. AFW needs to come alive, both in the city and in the rest of the country.”

And yes, the Fashion Week will also change in content. What does that mean for us? Danie wants to make more use of the ‘see now, buy now’ formula, where you can buy the collection right after the show. And the timing of the fashion weeks is changing; from now on, Fashion Week will take place in February and September just like the international prêt-à-porter weeks.
