DIY FACE MASKS
Hey pale face, hello puff queen, everything okay? How am I doing? Bone dry, and I'm not just talking about dry January, no you dirty bird, and not about that either. My cheeks, hands, and legs; the Sahara has nothing on this. The heating is blasting and that freezing cold isn't doing any favors either. You know what I'm talking about, right? And I don't know how it is for you, but I'm still recovering from December. Read: expensive beauty treatments and luxury pots are not allowed yet. Recognizable? Here I am. Your savior in distress.
Raid your fridge, fill your blender, and make your own face mask in no time. Because did you know, for example, that that banana gives your skin a big moisture boost, that ripe mango works skin-rejuvenating magic, and that honey is often called the natural antibiotic? Today, no recipe that ends up on your plate, but on those bone-dry cheeks of yours.
Which concoction will you choose?
1. Normal skin
This mask is good for every skin type. It ensures a smooth and supple skin and works moisture-regulating.
– 1 peach
– egg white
– 1 tbsp oat flour
– 1 tbsp honey
– Peel the peach and cut it into pieces. Put the pieces in the blender.
– Add the egg white from 1 egg, along with the honey and oat flour.
– Apply the mask to your face and let it sit for half an hour. Rinse off with lukewarm water.
2. Oily skin
Do you suffer from oily skin? Then buy a box of strawberries. This mask ensures that your skin is well cleansed and it reduces your pores.
– Handful of strawberries
– 3 tbsp yogurt
– 1 tbsp honey
– Wash the strawberries and put them together with the other ingredients in the blender.
– Blend until you get a smooth mixture and massage it into your face.
– Let it sit for 15 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water.
3. Against wrinkles
The mango in this mask is rich in vitamin C and beta-carotene and strong antioxidants. It fights wrinkles and improves the suppleness of the skin.
– 1 piece of mango
– 1 tbsp honey
– 2 tbsp yogurt
– Put all the ingredients in a blender.
– Apply the mask to your face.
-Let it sit for half an hour and then rinse it off with lukewarm water.
4. Impure skin
The honey-yogurt mask helps with pimples and blackheads due to its cleansing effect on the skin. Honey has that cleansing effect and is therefore a very good antibiotic for wounds. The yogurt in this mask has a cooling and soothing effect and the acid from the lime closes the pores.
– 1 tbsp honey
– 1 tbsp yogurt
– fresh coriander for garnish
– Squeeze the juice from the lime.
– Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
– Apply the mask to your face and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Rinse it off with lukewarm water.
5. Dry skin
The banana in this mask is a moisturizer. Are you sitting all day in the office next to a heater or air conditioning? Then this is the perfect mask for you. Bring on the bananas.
– 1 ripe banana
– 1 tbsp honey
– fresh coriander for garnish
– Mash the banana and mix it with the honey and lime juice.
– Apply the mask to your face and let it sit for at least twenty minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water.
