from skit to spin-off

I don't know what it is with those late night talk show hosts in America, but when it comes to fun games they play with their guests during their shows, a whole show is immediately built around it. It all started with the Lip Sync Battle that was often seen on Jimmy Fallon and got its own program with Spike featuring Chrissy Teigen and LL Cool J, and if you missed it: Carpool Karaoke now also has a series made for Apple TV.

There has been a small change in the format, because this time it's not James Corden someone who goes out with everyone, but different celebrities doing that with each other. I mention a Sophie Turner, a Maisie Williams from Game of Thrones, and the entire Cyrus family (from Miley, yes). James Corden was still nice to see with Will Smith, but hey, you know what, it's Friday. There is again very little sleaze to be found in Hollywood, minus the fact that I have been eagerly waiting for days for new music from Taylor Swift. Want to start the weekend well? We are doing that this time with the Carpool Karaoke series from Apple. Happy Friday!

Now I do wonder when we can expect a Drop The Mic series… I don't know what it is with those late night talk show hosts in America, but when it comes to fun games they play with their guests during their shows…
