Gordon becomes Dr. Phil

It was all a bit turbulent around Gordon last week. He was going to get married and then decided not to. The crying men flooded RTL4 and half of the Netherlands felt taken for a ride. I would like to add some sober nuance to this whole issue: forced marriage is legally prohibited in our country, even if John de Mol wants it, so it seems perfectly fine to me that he doesn't get involved with someone he is not in love with. Although RTL could have certainly kept us a bit less in the dark.

And now? Well, Gordon is stepping into the role of Dr. Gordon. That is exactly what you think of when you hear it indeed. The American Dr. Phil is the shining example and Gordon helps people in the talk show on relationship issues and various other problems. I can tell you that I can hardly wait. Not because he seems to be the right person to help people with relationship issues, see above, but because he is probably the only one who can make such things hilarious instead of tear-jerking. I see a nice first theme: ‘he or she left me standing at the altar.’.
