In 3 sips of your Lowlands hangover
Make the detox smoothie
A very good morning, girlfriends, from a slightly less busy editorial office than I am used to. Half of the team is on vacation and some are still under the covers – or lost somewhere on a festival site. If you, like our Elkie, spent the weekend at Lowlands, I can imagine that you are currently staring at the screen with a pounding head and somewhat squinted eyes.
If you lived this weekend on plastic cups of lukewarm beer, clammy greasy burgers, and here and there a shot of strong liquor, then the chance is very high that your body is currently screaming for moisture and salt. I recommend that you go crazy with a blender and a mountain of vegetables and fruit. This detox smoothie is packed with vitamins and minerals, including a lot of vitamin C. Sorry girlfriend, no croquette sandwich, but something your liver is currently screaming for. The banana provides an energy boost and calms your stomach. The lime replenishes your vitamin deficiency and the coconut water ensures that your electrolyte balance (those are minerals that are important for your fluid balance) remains optimal. Goodbye hangover!

- handful of spinach
- juice of 1/2 lime
- handful of fresh mint leaves
- 200 ml coconut water
