It is better for you to be single

You know it, right? When science says it, it must be true. And did you know that research has shown that attractive people are more often single? Here the evidence.

Alright, let's talk about the research from the University of California, which indicates that being single has a lot of psychological benefits. This research shows that single individuals are more self-directed and motivated than those with a partner. Not entirely surprising, to be honest. But other benefits of not having a +1 is that you work much faster towards your personal goals: in terms of work, emotionally, with your friendships, etc.

For this research, psychologist Bella DePaulo analyzed 814 people, and this is what came out of her study:

DePaulo indicates that as soon as people form a couple, they become ‘insular’. In other words: isolated. Single people generally have a better relationship with their parents, siblings, friends, and colleagues compared to those who are married or in long-term relationships because they do not isolate themselves. And that self-direction she observed in singles also led to a reduction in negative emotions. But hey, let's not forget all this nice stuff either.

Anyhow, no worries, people with a +1. DePaulo does not suggest that single people are better than you. ‘What matters is not what everyone else is doing or what other people think we should be doing, but whether we can find the places, the spaces, and the people that fit who we really are and allow us to live our best lives.’

So yes, better, better... It's a big word. As long as you just happy town.
