Just about Céline...
No, I'm not talking about the latest addition of our Lil at the French fashion house. I'm talking about the Canadian Céline Dion. You know, the one from ‘My Heart Will Go On’ from Titanic. The lady you kind of forgot about, but who has been popping up on practically every fashion site lately. The lady who suddenly sat front row at all the shows during Couture Week in Paris last month. And the lady who suddenly appeared naked on Vogue's Instagram account. That Céline, yes, I want to talk to you about her.
I don't know what's going on, but madam is becoming a kind of style icon. It all started last year when Céline was spotted in a sweater from Vetements. You know, the brand that DHL suddenly made cool. Her sweater might not have had a DHL logo, but it did have Jack and Rose and a sinking Titanic on it. Indeed: amazeballs.
And now, about a year later, brands are clamoring to have Céline in their clothes. Her secret? Stylist Law Roach. Also the stylist of actress Zendaya and of America’s Next Top Model. But anyway, back to Céline. Her new style icon status meant that last month she could film the fiercest videos draped in Chanel, Dior, Rodarte, and Maison Valentino. So here it is: Céline like you’ve never seen her before…
She has officially said goodbye to the oversized denim jackets with blue floral print leggings (yes really, she used to wear those) and nowadays only steps out the door in top designer brands. And you know what? I think it's great. Kudos to you, Céline.
