Just over that nice toilet
I know, everything that appears on Amayzine must fall under the umbrella of ‘stylish, inspiring or cool’ and I'm not quite sure if a post about a toilet fits that. On the other hand, our motto is; ‘everything you don't necessarily need, but that makes life more enjoyable’ and my current little pot fits perfectly with that.
I'm staying a night at The Chatwal hotel in New York. Thanks to dear Adeline and to Ellen from the Amsterdam W hotel (where Kiki once wrote this about) who invited us to come here for a night. I have the largest room in New York ever, a gym where bottles of water, apples, and healthy bars were waiting for me, a fresh Vogue and AD Magazine with Claudia Schiffer's house.
Everything is just perfect, in short. I have a walk-in closet and a bizarrely spacious shower. I was already in an advanced state of happiness when I sat down on the toilet. Due to the air conditioning (why do they always set it to -10 in America? And while I'm complaining: why is the volume set to +67?) I was a bit chilly. I took my place on the seat and what did I feel? Warmth. The seat was heated. Then I looked for the flush button and ended up at a control panel. I could have ‘the underside’ cleaned. Did I want a front shower? Or a back shower? And then a little blow-dry? It can all be done. And now I want one of those at home too. Or should I just stay living here at The Chatwal? The room is big enough for that, after all.
