Kendall Jenner wins ‘Fashion Icon of the Decade’

Let me start by saying that I think Kendall is quite a top chick. She has a nice face too. How somewhat sober she has remained in a family full of show ponies: respect. No injected lips, no sex tapes, no big scandals (except for a small Pepsi incident though). But to name the 21-year-old Jenner the biggest fashion icon of the decade? Mwah. We’re not really feeling it here.
This morning it was announced that the model will be honored during New York Fashion Week on September 8 with the Fashion of the Decade Award at Daily Front Row’s 2017 Fashion Media Awards. Quite a mouthful. And Kendall, don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I don’t wish you awards. And you do know fashion, absolutely. But don’t we all think of someone else when it comes to the BIGGEST fashion icon of the past ten years? Someone who doesn’t follow trends but sets them? Someone who has brought change to fashion? I’m thinking of Lady Gaga. Possibly a Rihanna. Maybe new icon Caroline de Maigret. If we look at the past ten years, even Michelle Obama could fit. But Kendall Jenner? Weren’t you ten years ago, uh, eleven years old? We still don’t get it. Sorry, girlfriend.
