People with a high IQ prefer to drink wine

Do you want to toast again this weekend and still come off a bit clever? Wine is your answer.

Research shows that intelligent people more often wine choose wine than they quench their after-work thirst with other drinks. That big bottle of Chardo is linked to your IQ. You wouldn't expect it when you're enthusiastically sipping from your glass, yet it's true.

A Danish group of scientists followed the behavior of no less than 1800 people whose IQ was known for decades. They looked at their drinking behavior and other personal preferences. A clear link was found between someone's intelligence and their decision to down some wine. Thus, the smarter ones more often chose a vino over a simple beer or gin and tonic. This applies to both men and women.
Moreover: this had nothing to do with the income of the participants or what kind of job they had. No less than 39 percent of the people with the highest IQs preferred wine over beer. Only 9 percent of the smartest of the bunch chose a golden beer over a glass of wine.

Another striking fact from the research: clever people drink alcohol more often than slightly less educated people. This is confirmed by not just one study, but several studies show this fact. When someone comments on the fact that you're pouring yourself another glass (or two): you now know better.

I feel a bit wise every Friday afternoon. Cheers.
This way you can also ask for holiday a vin blanc. Good to know: everyone gets just a little tipsy.
