Louis Vuitton opens amusement park in Paris
A rough 60 million will be the cost: the amusement park that LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy) and ski resort operator Compagnie des Alpes are going to build. The location of the amusement park is Jardin d’Acclimation in the heart of Paris and it will be the fourth amusement park in France. Yes, the fourth amusement park and you understand: that might just cause an extra dose of choice stress during a city trip to our French friends. Elke told me during our most fun Amayzine road trip that as soon as the signs for Parc Astérix wave at us along the road, we are almost in Paris (something about a sweet, little, and especially overly enthusiastic child-Elky of which I secretly now actually share the memory a little bit with her). A pit stop at Asterix and Obelix would be a logical consequence, but once we arrive in Paris, something is going to change. The Disneyland exit is no longer our only option when it comes to the coolest amusement park in Paris...
Unfortunately, it will still take a while, as the park is expected to open in early 2018. The amusement park will feature three roller coasters, including a family roller coaster with a steampunk theme (you know, those way too big tall hats, copper gloves, and funny, bulging, round glasses) based on the style of explorer Jules Verne. Furthermore, in addition to attractions, there will also be science fairs with a focus largely on sustainability. Whether your roller coaster seatbelt will also be adorned with the classic Louis Vuitton print, whether you get a discount with Loulou crossbody at your side or whether the standard welcome drink will be Moët, I unfortunately cannot guarantee yet, but you understand: to be continued...
