Pastatrick
Let me sketch the situation from last night. I was cooking my linguine (freshly spun of course because it's the best), placed the colander in the sink, poured the pasta into the colander, did the pasta from the colander back into the pan to then nibble on it after a swirl of olive oil and a twist of sea salt. Draining pasta, not exactly the hardest trick in the kitchen, but this action can be made even easier and much faster. All you have to do is use your colander just a little differently than you're used to.
I was informed of this simple trick by All Def Digital. You cook your pasta as you normally would, only instead of draining it in your sink, you place the colander as a lid on your pan. Drain the water and your pasta stays right in the pan. A swirl of oil, a twist of sea salt and you're done. Life just got a little easier.
