Vodka for charity

The bottles of alcohol always have the magical property that they end up on my desk. You won't hear me complaining about it, keep them coming, but this red bottle is definitely the prettiest so far. For everyone who doesn't know: today is World AIDS Day – an international day dedicated to raising awareness about AIDS. Worldwide, many different initiatives are taking place, and Belvedere has set up a collaboration for the sixth time with (RED) and The Global Fund to raise money for the fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa.

This year they are going for the original luxury vodka in a nice red and limited edition outfit to draw attention to the good cause. So if you're still looking for a festive bottle for all those Moscow mules that you were planning to make during the holidays; look no further. This bottle is available throughout the festive season, of which 50% of the profit goes to the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Now I'm talking about the tastiest Moscow mules you can make with it, but a tip from Belvedere itself is the Belvedere (RED) Martini. What do you need?

– 60 ml Belvedere vodka

– 10 ml sweet vermouth

– 5 ml Maraschino liqueur

– 2 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters

Stir, shake, mix well and voilà: a cocktail for charity. Cheers!
