OUR GIRL IN NEW YORK
With the Swedish balls on the left and the mini living rooms decorated in Christmas spirit on the right, I push the cart. On the list are curtain rails, clothes hangers, and the inevitable other purchases that you always have to leave the blue and yellow furniture giant of Scandinavian origin with. The Christmas ornaments in the bowl on the kitchen counter ‘Malm’ remind me that today is the day of Christmas. And we walk through Ikea. Really cozy this, especially with Christmas. My husband waves from shelf 18 point 43. Meanwhile, the cart is filled with curtain rails, clothes hangers, tea lights, a wooden spatula, lamps, a random black photo frame, and a compact tool set with screwdrivers and such. It’s not the Christmas of coziness for us this year. After passing the checkout, we take an extra hot dog and soft serve. Look, that’s something at least.
Meanwhile, the curtain rails project has been checked off. The boxes have been unpacked. We discovered an amazing wine shop and ordered wine there. We have also been to several Christmas parties. And then we decided to go biking with Blue. The peace in Williamsburg is a gift. Our cloud child runs like never before, next to the bike and in the field. And although I said ‘I would never move to Brooklyn’, I am so happy that we are here.
A photo taken by an old car. No idea why, but it seems to be cool. So here it is: a photo by an old car.
Our first brunch in Brooklyn! We are at 12 Chairs Cafe around the corner. I take a salad, he takes a sandwich, and Blue goes on the swing. Really fun. At least, I think so. Blue doesn’t care for it at all. Until next week and a happy 2017!
