Question: how many emails do you send in a day? Ten? Twenty? Fifty? And how many letters do you send in a week? Well. Then we are going to talk about very different numbers, I fear. Which is honestly a shame, because sending (or even better receiving) letters is the best ever. Nothing beats tearing open an old-fashioned envelope.

In a time when speed sometimes seems to rush past us, I want to give a little shoutout to the mail. You know, those people who go around knocking on doors super early to drop off all those lovely messages, birthday wishes, and love declarations. And a little message for you: send a letter to someone a bit more often. If you want to do it in Amayzine style, I suggest you get the new stamps from PostNL (no, we don’t have shares, sometimes things are just too fun not to mention). Why? Viktor & Rolf just entered the building. Stamps with high heels, bows, fashionable little figures; the whole shebang, yes baby. So people, put that phone aside, write a love note to your beloved ones in your prettiest handwriting and stick a fashionable stamp on it. Just because you can. Amen.
