In the category ‘I'm getting a bit of a short circuit in my head’. Why share the spa with other hotel guests when you have your own spa in a private cottage on the water, complete with a masseur and a hot tub with lotus flowers?

A bit of hanging around the infinity pool, sliding macrobiotic food into your mouth, a bit of exercise, getting a nice behind, a bit of sleeping. Worn out? Total recharge is the motto here.

Aqua Dome, Tyrol

So spas are only cool in sunny places? Think again. In Austria, you have the Aqua Dome, a gigantic luxury relaxation resort where you can bathe outdoors among the snow peaks.

The Royal Mansour Spa, Marrakech

I'm having a bit of a jam here, you know. Towering marble walls, Instagram-worthy everything, chandeliers and white gold everywhere, an intensely large hammam, a private driver picking you up from the airport, your own medina including a butler, and finally spending your vacation in a super chic five-star hotel. It's clear: I need to get to Marrakech very quickly.

Hotel Corinthia, Budapest

I mean it: google this hotel for fun. Just the building itself, my god. Lifegoals. A twenty-minute walk from the Danube, you find this monstrously beautiful hotel. Walk down the stairs towards the basement and you end up in the scene from Gossip Girl where they break into the pool and throw a pool party. Oh and, this is what you wear to the spa by the way.

The Viceroy, Miami

Let's give a round of applause for the design by architect Philippe Starck, because this is quite a gem. Miami just a party place? No way, it’s bursting with super luxurious spas. This one has a VIEW of the bay, man oh man.

Chiva-Som spa, Thailand

Well, I'm not difficult. Just put a few flowers in the pool and you have me. I could very well imagine that this is Rihanna's spa by the way. Let's see, the plan is probably that the boy and I are going to Thailand this fall. Three guesses where I need to go...
