Telephone-tastic news
(for the real telefonista)
Whether you want to first go through my checklist to see if you are a real telefonista. Here it comes. You frantically rummage through your bag and become short of breath with an increased heart rate when you think you left it on the table at home. You check every second if you are still important in snap-facebook-app-instagram form, even though your screen only reflects sunlight. You routinely reach for your other half when you wake up (and I don't mean that beloved one). Are you at a score of ‘almost everything‘? Then this is going to make your day. At least, if you are non-stop glued to the device and regularly park your backside outside the Netherlands.
Provider T-Mobile already started swinging with the call and data rates within and outside the national borders, but now Tele2 is also coming with international ambitions. And that second one, it’s in the name, does it for ten euros less per month. I feel a rate war brewing.
How does it work? Well, with Tele2 you get in the Unlimited bundle 5 giga-gantic bytes per day in the Netherlands. Are they gone? Just send a message and you get another one for free, and another one, and another one. Additionally, you can also call and text unlimited (really, does anyone still do this?). And when you go traveling, you get 6 gigabytes per month within Europe.
T-Mobile also treats you to 5GB every day to spend in the Netherlands AND you get 10 gigabytes monthly to use in Europe. But all of that for 10 euros less. Yes, you have to keep an eye on the pennies. But you can choose what suits you best. I'm still waiting for the rest. Hello Telfort, KPN, Vodafun. I'm talking to you, yes. Because paying through the nose within AND outside the border is sooo 2016.
