The best hairdressers in the country

Two weeks ago I went to the hairdresser. Very normal, I hear you think, for many it is the same as a visit to the dentist. But for me, that outing is every time again quite a thing. And I really have to mentally prepare for it for days. Around me, I always see the cutest hairstyles. When Lil walks in with her brand new curtain, I think: I want that too. If ten centimeters have disappeared from colleague D, then that suddenly seems appealing to me as well. And Elke with her pink locks: totally fun.

Then I park all of that in my head and after months of weighing my options, I then very cautiously decide to also ‘go for something else’. That ‘something else’ is really not suddenly a short bob or a switch to lilac. A fringe down to the jawline or one shade lighter at the ends, it doesn't get more exciting than that. Yet I always return home with enormous regret. A look in the mirror ends in tears streaming down my cheeks. Where I feel like a completely different person, the rest of the editorial team only notices something of my ‘metamorphosis’ after three days.
