The five best places for a good blow-dry

LIFE IS TOO SHORT

FOR BORING HAIR

Unfortunately, not all of us are equipped with Kate Middleton's hairdresser who comes to blow-dry her hair for a modest 300 pounds a few mornings a week. At least she can be sure that her hair looks good for a few days in a row, and ‘bad hair day’ won't come up so quickly in her vocabulary Honestly, I can really dry my hair with a good hairdryer, but I always struggle with brushes, sprays, and other tricky things. No need. You can just let it be done at the best blow-dry bars in the country. It pays off a lot, and really, Kate, it can be much cheaper than that 300 pounds.

Excluding travel costs.

1. THE FÖHNBAR IN AMSTERDAM

It seems pretty clear what to do here. Blow-drying hair is of course central. Your hair is washed well and then blow-dried into the style you would like. You can choose from five styles that are guaranteed to look good all evening.

Price: €30. Always.

2. SALON B IN AMSTERDAM – OR throughout THE COUNTRY

The official blow-dry bar of Salon B is located in Amsterdam. You can choose from eight looks. Totally cool, so it will be quite difficult to choose. With a bit of prep, you pay €30, if you want it washed, then that adds five euros. So you do indeed have to go to Amsterdam for it, but hey, Salon B is located throughout the country, so if you really want a good blow-dry, just make an appointment.

Price: from €30.

3. EXPRESS BAR THE BUILDING IN AMSTERDAM

The Express Bar is from our favorite people at The Building. Here and here you've already gotten some previews of how to do it yourself, but I can imagine it’s still quite tricky to get it looking this good on your own. They do it for you. You choose from six styles and are ready for each event in 20 minutes.

Price: €25.

4. COSMO touch-up THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY

Cosmo Hairstyling also offers the service of not sitting in the chair for hours for a good color or nice haircut, no, it can just be done in a quarter of an hour. It's called Cosmo Touch-up. Here you choose from five looks. There will be braiding, curling, and blow-drying, and the look is tailored to your haircut. So no standard picture from a booklet, but just well adapted to your head.

Price: €15.

5. THE HAARTHEATER IN AMSTERDAM

You do need to make an appointment, but then you will be pampered for half an hour and walk out with New York-proof hair. Because yes, blow-drying is very common there.

Price: €35.
