The biggest Victoria's Secret Angel cancels show

With less than two weeks to go until the most spectacular fashion show of the year, Victoria’s Secret today comes with even more not-so-great news. After four models had to drop out due to not getting a visa, today perhaps the biggest angel of angels is also dropping out. Dutch glory Gigi Hadid announced this morning on her own Twitter account that she will not be seen in her toned body on the catwalk at the end of November.

‘I’m so bummed that I can’t be there in China! I love my Victoria’s Secret family and I’m thinking of my girls! I can’t wait to see the show on television and I’m sure it will be beautiful again. And I can’t wait for next year!’ said Gig. A bit strange in this story is that Gigi doesn’t give a reason for her absence. On August 28, the top model posted a photo of herself in a little nothing during the fitting, writing: ‘It’s always a dream to be asked to walk in the Victoria’s Secret show !’ Mother Hadid was incredibly proud that both Gigi and her other daughter Bella would once again be part of one of the most popular fashion shows in the world.

Could Gigi have made enemies with the Chinese people? At the end of August, the model posted a photo on her Instagram account that didn’t sit well with her Chinese fans. In fact, she was no longer welcome in the land of the Asians. Well, not very handy if you don’t have a stamp in your passport yet.
