The four rules for your hair

Kendall and Kylie's hairdresser spills the beans

If you practically walk around with a camera 24/7, it makes sense to gather the best of the best to ensure you look your absolute best every day. So trust the glam squad of the Kardashian/Jenner family to know what's on trend beauty-wise, because they make sure they always look tip-top (whether you like them or not).

Always been jealous of the well-groomed locks of the girls from the royal family or reality TV? Jonathan Colombini, hairstylist of the two youngest K's in the family, has revealed a few of his golden rules for your hairstyle.

1. Invest in good products

“You would never buy an Aston Martin and then put regular gas in it,” says Colombini. A good shampoo and conditioner is the key if you want healthier and stronger hair. And if you want to know; the favorite hair products of the Kardashians and Jenners are OUAI, Oribe, and R&Co.

2. You probably wash your hair too often

Instead of washing your hair with shampoo every day, try doing it every other day and eventually every two days. Use a good dry shampoo for volume in your hair à la Kendall.”

3. It's all about the lob

Yes, I had to look it up too, but the ‘lob’ is a longer bob. Kendall traded her long locks for a slightly shorter hairstyle a while ago, and if it’s up to Jonathan, this is a look we will see for a long time. Doubt doubt, should I dare to do this too?

4. Balayage 2.0

Don't be shocked, balayage is still a trend, but we're going for an updated version. Instead of being very dark on top with bleached ends, it's now about a caramel/sandy color at the bottom. It looks a bit more natural and the color difference in the hair is less intense.
