The bounty island BUCKETLIST
With this weather, I can't think clearly anymore. I want to get away. I have to get away. So it's time for a one-way ticket behind my laptop to a dream destination. With sand so white it hurts your eyes and water so clear you think that stuff is manipulated. Time to skip school together? I do. And this is at the top of my bounty island bucket list.
1. Seychelles
Absolutely number one on my list because A: the overwhelming nature and B: I've seen videos of tourists watching baby turtles crawl from their eggs towards the sea and it was SO touching and sweet that I was almost crying. The Seychelles are so green, paradise-like, stunningly beautiful, and surprisingly authentic that I must have been here for myself. And you too. Within the next three years, deal? And maybe one of the biggest advantages of the Seychelles: the weather is between 24 and 32 degrees all year round. Honeymooners, watch out, the region is increasingly being discovered by couples, friends, families; all kinds of tourists. And another advantage: because the island is still quite special and exclusive, even the busy beaches here can still be empty. PARTY!
2. The Maldives
Oh boy. So so pretty…. The Maldives archipelago consists of 1190 coral islands, of which 202 are inhabited and 90 are suitable for tourists. For a honeymoon, lazy beach holiday, or active water sports holiday, you're in luck here. Always wanted to swim with giant mantas and whale sharks? Huphup, this is your chance.
3. Bora Bora
Yes, this is the paradisiacal beautiful land in French Polynesia where all those professional footballers take their girlfriends and where the Kardashians almost every vacation can be found. The island consists of a lagoon surrounded by a reef and sodejo, the water is so crystal clear that you almost think that stuff is manipulated. This is the perfect island to feel completely like Robinson Crusoe, but then in all luxury.
4. Tahiti
If you're heading to French Polynesia (the area is actually as big as Europe!), then of course you also take big sister Tahiti along with Bora Bora, duh. This is a destination that is so overwhelmingly beautiful that its beauty takes your breath away. Visit the Fautaua Waterfalls, the islands, or Point Venus and take a moment on that surfboard.
5. Fiji islands
You might be starting to wonder how many islands we actually have in the world, but there are another 333(!) at your service. Find the beach of your dreams, go bungee jumping, chase those sea turtles with an underwater camera on your head at Coral Coast, and count yourself very lucky. Yep, this destination is still high on the list. We're still saving up nicely. Sigh...
