The summer favorites of Elke

I can't really call it summer at the moment. While I'm typing this, I'm sitting in a thick sweater at the editorial office and it's raining insanely hard outside. Autumn, is that you? But anyways, I remain optimistic, the sun will soon come back this way (pretty please June 24, because that's when my next festival is scheduled) and when that time comes, I'm completely prepared. Thank you Simone for these tips as soon as the temperature is back to 25+ outside.

1. Have you kept a bit of a tan from the nice weather last May? Then a bright color on the nails will highlight them. I've already found my new favorite for summer 2017: the Backseat Besties from Essie, for the perfect touch of pink.

2. For the perfect beach waves, I also want some hold for my hair. And I do that with the Thickening Lotion from Moroccanoil before I start working with the curling iron. A small amount in my palm and then, off we go, apply it to towel-dried hair, blow-dry, curl, run my hands through my hair. Voilà: ultimate strengthening beach waves.

3. I often have quite a bit of trouble with an unsettled skin, so in the summer months I often use a dab of foundation to cover up the imperfections. Here, Dr. Jetske Ultee comes to the rescue with her Uncover Foundation.

4. Alright, the sun may currently be hiding, but I still never leave the house without SPF. Want a bronzed glow? Nuxe to the rescue.
