From today it is finally known which cities can officially call themselves the most elegant in the world. Research has been conducted with influential experts in collaboration with Zalando in the fields of fashion, architecture, and seven other factors. The idea for this research came from Zalando, who wanted to learn more about the concept of elegance and in particular how it could be linked to different cities around the world. More than 2.5K architecture, fashion, and lifestyle journalists worldwide were involved in this research, where they assessed cities based on their expertise.
After a thorough analysis, they were able to draw a total of three main conclusions:
1. The most elegant city in the world is Paris, which scored maximum points in the fields of fashion and architecture according to various experts.
2. The top ten consists almost entirely of European cities, with New York as the exception.
3. Three Dutch cities are represented on the list: Amsterdam is in 12th place, The Hague is in 62nd place, and Rotterdam is in 63rd place.
