Body & Mind

This is my new life

(and why exercising during the day is sublime)

Did you read this morning about my hangover? No? Otherwise do it now. Then you'll find it extra unbelievable (at least, I think so) that I was just hard at the gym at 12:45 PM. Yes, you read that right. In the gym. And at a quarter to one.

Want to know how that happened? Well, here's the thing. Suddenly there was a gym behind our office. With classes during work hours. Also before and after, but I prefer during work hours. I already work so much, so a little break in between is perfect for body and mind, it seemed to me. And because the guys from The Gym Republic (that's the name of the gym) understand our schedules well, they came up with a 45-minute class. During lunch time. Right before the class, I quickly eat two crackers, so the time I would otherwise waste on eating I now use for body and limbs.

I've done it four times already, spread over two weeks. Cautiously, you could call it a routine. Or a new life. In any case, I'm now typing in my sports outfit (which by the way is quite a stylish outfit from Deblon Sports, if I may say so) and I am extremely satisfied. With my regime. My new life. My flat stomach that is definitely waiting for me somewhere. My flat shoes (because sneakers). With everything actually. Now just to wash away that hangover. Never again wine, never again wine, noooooo never again wine, nooooit again wine. Exerciseexerciseexerciseexerciseexerciseexercise.
