3x summer drinks without alcohol

for when you're tired of Spa…

Do you know those days when you don't want to drink because you want to be able to get out of bed fresh the next morning? I certainly do. I love a good glass of wine, don’t get me wrong, but a good glass of wine. If that's not available, I'd rather grab a bottle of Spa. I don't like cola, and I prefer to skip all those other sugary drinks as well. But sometimes that tap water just doesn't cut it. Sound familiar? Then this post is for you. With these refreshing non-alcoholic drinks, you'll score points at that barbecue tonight. Or at your party or just with your loved one on the couch.

1. Watermelon punch

  • small medium watermelon
  • half cucumber, cut into pieces
  • handful of mint leaves, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp agave syrup
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • pinch of salt
  1. Cut off the top part of the watermelon and hollow it out.
  2. Cut pieces from the flesh and put them in the blender with the other ingredients.
  3. Serve the drink in the watermelon and stick in a few straws.
  4. Add a splash of vodka if you want to make it a real party.

2. Pineapple green tea

  • 1 liter of water
  • 2 bags of green tea
  • half pineapple, cut into pieces
  • a few sprigs of fresh thyme
  • 2 tbsp agave syrup
  • ice cubes
  1. Bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add the tea bags and thyme sprigs and let it cool.
  3. Add the agave syrup to the tea.
  4. Remove the sprigs from the tea and divide the cooled tea among the glasses.
  5. Add the ice cubes and serve the glasses with pieces of fresh pineapple.

3. Elderflower-lime

  • crushed ice
  • 2 limes
  • 100 ml elderflower syrup
  • 100 ml cloudy apple juice
  • 500 ml Spa red
  • 1/2 lemon, sliced
  • sprig of mint
  1. Mix all the ingredients, except for the lemon and mint, in a large pitcher.
  2. Top off with ice.
  3. Garnish with the lemon slices and mint.
