In prehistoric times, a messy 2100 years BC, the belt already served exactly the purpose for which we still use the belt today: fashion emergency. Clothes had to stay in place and, well, that is still often the reason when we thread a handsome Gucci through the loops of our jeans. Sure, as an eye-catcher it does its job great, but sagging or a waistless look is the last thing we want, right?

And yes, so many years later, it is still the belt that keeps fashion people anything but bored. Today in the Trend of the Day, the waist belt in a very funny spot, namely over the coat. It doesn't matter if it's thick or thin; one thing is for sure: every woman will spontaneously get a wasp waist this winter. So you know what you have to do: hop, take that belt out of your closet and tie it high on your waist.
