WHAT WE CAN EXPECT FROM 13 REASONS WHY

Season 2

13 Reasons Why is coming back for a second season in case you missed it. And thank goodness, because do you still have quite a few questions after watching the last episode of the first season? I mean, is Tyler planning to cause a shooting at school after seeing his collection of guns? Is Bryce going to prison? And what exactly is going on with Sheri and that car accident where Jeff died? Oh yes, and Alex, is he still alive? I don't know, but I could really use a sequel and luckily we can get that. Just not until 2018, but it’s worth the wait. Fortunately, the creators of the show have already shared some things about what we can expect.

Hannah stays

Hopefully, this is not a spoiler for you – I just assume that if you are reading this, you have followed the series – but at the end of season two, we all saw how Hannah ends her life. If you think this means she won't be part of season two, then you’re wrong. Director Brian Yorkey has indicated that she will again be seen in flashbacks. There will be voice-overs again, but this time not from Hannah… Who’s next?

No cassette tapes

Well, a new narrator, but this time without cassette tapes. Did they make an ‘upgrade’ to CDs?

The story of Jessica

In the sequel season, they want to show viewers how Jessica picks up her life again. What it’s like for her to go back to school after her traumatic night with Bryce – something that millions of young women (unfortunately) experience.

Bryce?

Very little has been revealed about Bryce, but let’s hope that he gets what he deserves.

Positivity

13 Reasons Why has also faced a mountain of criticism. That it was too intense, that it achieved the opposite of what it was supposed to do, and so on. But what they want to do with season two is show that after loss and traumatic experiences, you can pick up your life again. With many bumps and obstacles, but it’s possible.

Okay, in the meantime, let’s find some new series to follow. See here what is new on Netflix this month.
