Why having a birthday in the summer is the most fun

When I was young, I hated my birthday. As a July baby, it meant that my friends were always on vacation. That I could never treat on my actual birthday at school. And my birthday parties were either two months too early or two months too late. But now that I am a year older and wiser too, I know that a summer birthday is not so bad at all. Read on to find out why.

Summer clothes

You don't have to worry about that thick winter coat ruining your birthday outfit on your birthday. Or that ugly raincoat. No, you can wear those cute and lovely summer dresses. With sandals, heels, a summer hat; the whole shebang. And you rock them with a lovely tanned skin! It can't get any better, right?

The best parties

Helloooo outdoor parties. Festivals, garden parties, or just enjoying a barbecue on the beach or in the park. On your birthday, the possibilities are endless. The older you get, the greater the chance that your friends are still in the country on your birthday. So you don't have to worry about the fact that no one shows up.

The best time for gifts

Christmas is far, far, far behind you! It's high time for a new batch of gifts, I would say.

You are healthier

A study published in Heliyon shows that summer babies are healthier and that this remains true later in life. Something to do with the amount of vitamin D the mother takes before the birth of the child. That's good news!

Vacation

Being on vacation during your own birthday is wonderful. Exploring a new country, indulging in the culinary specialties from that region, and enjoying the beautiful weather. Yes, please.
Are you one of those unlucky ones this year who couldn't throw a party because everyone was on vacation just on your birthday? No worries. There is also such a thing as a half birthday party. Celebrate it six months later. Also super fun. And it also gives a nice party theme. Happy celebrations!
