Deliberately?
Previously, I was completely captivated by the whole fuss between Taylor Swift and Kanye West. The pop princess with a picture-perfect image that was beautifully ruined by Kanye and his wifey Kim. So sleazy – a genuine guilty pleasure to follow everything. Anyway, at one point it went quiet around Taylor, she went underground and then came out with a brand new song called ‘Look What You Made Me Do‘ – clearly a jab at frenemy Kanye.
Well, now her entire album Reputation has been out since early November and okay, I’m a bit behind, but I’ve started to delve into everything related to subtle Kanye West references. It all started with the slang that kept appearing when she was promoting her new album. This is everything I thought about it back then. But now there are whole discussions going on about the album cover of Taylor. People think that a font called The Life of Pablo was used, also the name of Kanye's previous album, yes. Well, it does seem a bit similar, but in my opinion, it’s just the The New York Times font.
Then there are also people who think that Taylor intentionally made sure, just like with Kanye's previous album, that words are written over each other. Wait. You know? Let’s put the two covers side by side, then you can judge for yourself:
We’re going one step further, because the Swift fans have even more theories. They think that there was a deliberate use of photographers Mert and Marcus, two very good friends of the Kardashians and Kanye. But it doesn’t stop there. The sweater that Taylor is wearing on the cover, there was also a lot of tweeting about that. ‘Is Taylor not wearing what looks like a Yeezy sweater with Kim K wet hair? #redemption.’ Well, either we’re dealing with a lot of coincidences, or TayTay has secretly thought very hard about all this? Whatever it is, it’s got people talking.
So, it’s up to you. Pure coincidence or premeditated?
