The Perfectionists

After seven seasons, we finally got the answer to the question of questions: who the F is A? We had to wait exactly 4 days, 14 hours, and 1 minute to get our answers from Mona, Alison, Aria, Emily, Hanna, and Spencer. And with all our questions answered, there are no more answers left, and PLL is really over. I can secretly cry about that. Until the news about the PLL spin-off was announced. No idea what to expect from it, but I immediately did a happy dance. And now, a few months later, I'm doing a triple dance. And you will too, because this is what we can expect so far from Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists. Here it comes:.

Beacon Heights

Rosewood was the place to be. Emphasis on 'was', because from now on the upcoming drama will take place in Beacon Heights.

The story.

The story isn't entirely new. It is based on the popular book series by Sara Shepard (yes, the writer of PLL).

Emily, are you there?.

In the first teaser, we spot Alison moving to a 'new city' to start a new chapter in her life. But where is Emily? Please tell me she is still very much in the relationship.

Girls squad.

The chance is very high that one of the girls will make an appearance in Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists. 'Anything is possible,' says producer I. Marlene King.

Mona.

Mona is and remains a mystery. Marlene says about this: 'Mona is Mona. You just never know if you can trust her, and that will remain so, even in the new series.' Furthermore, there will be love in the air for Mona.

The dollhouse.

Do you remember the end of the Pretty Little Liars finale? Mona holding Alex and Mary Drake captive in her dollhouse? Get ready, because in the spin-off we will finally find out what happened to this duo... Not in front of, but behind the camera

Now that we have to miss our favorite PLL squad on screen, that doesn't mean they are gone. Both Troian (Spencer, or maybe her twin sister, ha-ha) and Ashley (Hanna) are stepping behind the camera to direct an episode.

Murder.

In the spin-off, we follow – just like in the original – five girls who become involved in a murder. The stress to be perfect leads to the first murder in town. Behind every perfectionist lies a secret, a lie, and the necessary alibi.

Sofia Carson.

Sofia plays Ava, who according to Entertainment Weekly has been cast as one of the main characters of the series. A new Liar? In any case, a trendsetting blogger who wants to become a fashion icon, according to the magazine.

A touch of Gossip Girl.

Kelly Rutherford plays Claire Hotchkiss. Yes yes, Lily Van der Woodsen is back. And seriously; a touch of Gossip Girl in the spin-off of Pretty Little Liars sounds like a match made in Netflix heaven?

A release date is unfortunately not yet known, so for now we have to settle for '2019'. So definitely to be continued...
