5x How to make Easter cool
Last night I was crafting Easter boxes with my daughters. A tradition at our school. I must say that I can dread it more than an afternoon shopping in the PC in Birkenstocks, but once I get going, I find it quite enjoyable.
This morning I found myself in the kitchen already squeezing oranges with my laptop open on the counter browsing Pinterest. And I found such fun things there that I want to share them with you. Because Easter can also be stylish. Really.
1. Dip it in gold
This comes from Lilian, credit where credit is due. Buy a pot of gold paint at a Praxis/Gamma, Karwei and dip your boiled eggs in it. We think it’s the most fun if it’s dipped in a bit of Jackson Pollock style. With drips and all. But of course, you can also paint your eggs completely gold and place them on a nice plate. I saw that last year on the insta account of Sergio Herman and it looked really cool.
2. The prettiest vase
Take; a very large vase. In it, place a narrower vase where you put flowers or branches. In the space between the large and the small vase, lay all the eggs you have colored in the color palette of the flowers. So incredibly Martha Stewart.
3. Or this one
You probably have a cloche somewhere in your interior. Yes, admit it. Next to your framed butterfly. Fill that cloche with beautiful, small eggs. Preferably in pastel shades. You can buy those at Lidl.
4. Paint it black
How about this one? Paint black dots on your egg. Or stripes. Or write a text in a nice, clean font. Then you get this beautiful palette. That’s quite different from those bourgeois twisted hazel branches with yellow and green eggs. Because don’t tell me you really think those are stylish.
5. And then this
Do you have kids? You’ve really made it so cozy. Grab a paper cup, draw eyes, a mouth, and whiskers on it, and stick two cut-out ears on top and you’re done.
Good luck!
